It is now officially fall, and I haven't posted since...well, for a very long time. I hardly have any time to get on the computer, and the little time I do have is usually spent researching something specific or doing coupon match-ups.
We had a really busy summer. Samuel decided he really wanted to be on the swim team. Jerome works a crazy schedule right now, so I was mostly on my own. I even camped with all four children at one meet. I was awfully proud of myself for that. Our weekdays looked like this all summer: 6 am up, make breakfast, get dressed; 6:50 out the door for 7 am practice (I volunteered to help coach); 8 am swimming lessons for Jake and Abrie; 8:30 shower and dress the kids; home by 9 am; 9-12 do chores, errands, any summer library activities and lunch; 12 pm read stories and put Elise in bed; 1-4 homeschool older ones while Elise napped; make dinner, eat at 5:30, clean up, ready for bed at 7 pm; in bed by 7:30/8pm. Some days we went to the pool in the afternoon and weekends were spent at swim meets. We went camping in June with my parents and niece and nephews. That was fun - our first ever camping trip.
Now the boys are back in school. They love it - Jacob adores his teacher and Sam thinks his is nice. She is pretty strict from what I hear - Sam keeps reporting that his class is losing recess time for talking and being loud. I am homeschooling Abrie and two days a week we have class with two other little girls. I'm thinking I might cut back on that and just let them play once a week becuase I have a lot going on. I just don't really feel up to teaching other people's children right now, no matter how good they might be. And these little girls really are good. I'm just full up with things to do and feel a need to cut back somewhere. I've been called as the Webelos den leader in my ward and that is pretty overwhelming for me. Jerome and I are still in the nursery on Sundays, except he works most Sundays so it's usually just me. I've served on the swim team board this summer but won't be doing that throught the year. Now I'm involved with the PTO and also trying to set up times to volunteer in the boy's classrooms. I want to be involved before they feel embarrassed to have mom around. Whew! Just typing all that made me tired. I'm off to bed to hopefully get a good night's sleep...6 am felt awfully early this morning!

Yes, you have been very bad at this. But that's ok. None of my sisters are good at blogging.....I don't have much to blog about, so that's my excuse for not even having one. =) Love you guys, we DO wanna come visit Hermiston after these last 4 pups are gone.
