The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together. - Erma Bombeck

T Ball
Sam is enjoying T Ball. His favorite thing is hitting. When it is his turn, he doesn't even pause to prepare his swing. He just grabs a bat, walks right up to the tee and swings! He is a good little hitter, and rarely has to take a second swing. (He often says "Mom, did you see me whack the ball?!") He (like all the other kids) gets bored in the outfield. In these pictures he is doing jumping jacks on 1st base and in the last one he's waearing his glove on his head at 3rd. It's fun to watch the kids trying to entertain themselves. One boy kept walking away from 3rd to go throw rocks in a nearby creek, and a base coach (essential in t ball to tell the kids to run, run, run, now stop) had to go get him and bring him back.
